I remember this from years ago when i tried it at the school’s scanner The sound is just the frequency from the stepper motor used to move the scanning parts.
The scanner plays fur elise!

Who can forget the hours spent with this thing. This guy in the flic is Gan, a student of Tongji university in Shanghai, China.
He surely beats me!
