News : Floating bed
![]() |
Architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars has worked for six years in developing a floating bed! The force holding the bed in air is magnetic force and it was shown in a design fair in Rotterdam in June 2006. The bed can carry 900 kg, 4 small steel wires keep the bed in place and is the only contact with the ground. If you want one the prize is about 1.2 million euros Full story (in deutch) |

hmm, everybody is talking about dangerous radiation and they invent a bed which produces more magnetic rays as a thousand electric wires or so.
I would not sleep on this - just to be sure.
[btw: Im sure the bed would still “float” if you turn off the power. steel wires dont break that fast, so why the magnetic field anyway?]
